Overnight Snow Transforms Metro Vancouver Into Winter Wonderland (PHOTOS + VIDEOS)

We were warned well in advance and it came true.

On Saturday, areas across Metro Vancouver started to see snow accumulations that continued to come down throughout the night.

By Sunday morning, Metro Vancouver was transformed into a winter wonderland.

On Friday afternoon, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning, stating that up to 35 cm of snow could fall on parts of Metro Vancouver, while some parts may see anywhere from 15 to 25 cm of snow.

According to Environment Canada’s weather summary, the Vancouver area saw  around 15 to 21 cm of snow. YVR Airport saw around 11 cm of snow, while Squamish saw a whopping 40 to 49 cm.

Whether you’re happy or not about the snow, it’s hard to deny how beautiful it makes the city look.
