Police are looking to identify a suspect after a woman was pulled to the ground by her hair in a stranger assault last week. The assault occurred near the Metrotown Bus Loop on Friday, November 10th shortly before 12pm.
“The victim, who is in her twenties, had just left the mall and was standing near the bus loop when a woman who was not known to her approached her without saying anything, hit her, grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground,” said Burnaby RCMP.
Police say the suspect then proceeded to walk towards the Metrotown SkyTrain station.

The suspect is described as:
- Approximately 45-years-old
- 5’1” tall
- Medium build
- Short hair
- Wearing a purple jacket and blue jeans
- Carrying two large maroon bags
“While the victim was thankfully not injured, we want people to be aware of this incident, and to call our investigators if they have information on the suspect’s identity,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP.
