Search for missing Langley senior suspended, family continues to seek “more tips and leads”

The search for a missing Langley senior who was last seen on October 25th has been suspended.

82-year-old Jane Whitehouse was last seen leaving her home in Aldergrove around 10:10am on Friday, October 25, 2024. Two days later, her Dodge Grand Caravan was located near Harrison Lake on the Harrison East Forest Service Road.

She is described as:

  • 5’1″ ft
  • 140 lbs
  • Medium build
  • Grey-blonde hair

Surveillance footage shows she was last seen wearing a green jacket.



“FAMILY UPDATE: the search at East Harrison Lake Forest Service Road has been suspended. The area has been combed for 3 days with no results. The investigation is still very much active but we need more tips and leads to work with,” reads a post in a Facebook group set up to help with the search for Whitehouse.

In a separate post, it says a drone was deployed to help find her.

“We heard from one of the SAR workers earlier today that the search area has widened, there is a drone in the area, and that there are 6 SAR teams working (about 30 people).”
