A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Coquitlam Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a white GMC Yukon SUV and a motorcycle at Glen Drive and Pipeline Road at 8:50pm Wednesday night.
The motorcyclist received life-saving measures at the scene, but has since succumbed to his injuries.
Initial reports indicate that the motorcyclist was travelling eastbound on Glen Drive approaching Pipeline Road when the collision occurred with a white GMC Yukon that was travelling southbound along Pipeline Road in Coquitlam.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.

“Police have spoken to a number of witnesses who remained on scene when officers attended,” said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. “We are asking anyone who may have seen the motorcycle or white GMC Yukon before the collision, witnessed the collision or may have video in the area of Pipeline Road and Glen Drive in Coquitlam between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to contact our investigators.”
