One person has been charged in connection to a identification forgery lab in Richmond.
Richmond RCMP’s Economic Crime Unit (ECU) and Drug Target Team executed a search warrant at a residence of a suspected forgery lab on December 22nd, 2022.
Officers discovered evidence consistent with a sophisticated forged identification lab.
On May 3rd, 2024, charges were approved against Ameer Ayube, including:
- Trafficking In Identity Information
- Identity theft
- Possession of forgery instrument

Your information is crucial in helping us protect and serve our residents effectively,” says Staff Sgt. Patrick Damgaijian.
A warrant remains outstanding for the man’s arrest on these charges.
