The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) is hosting a special French-inspired Mother’s Day brunch this weekend.
The brunch takes its cues from Lian Cosby, who is joining PICA as its new Events and Café Chef.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Cosby pursued studies as a classically trained pianist at the University of British Columbia before taking inspiration from time spent with her mother, grandmother and aunts in the kitchen as a child. She then decided to re-commit to a culinary life while furthering her music studies in Montreal.
In 2013, she went to France and trained under Michelin-starred chefs Édouard Loubet in Provence and Emmanuelle Renaut in Haute-Savoie. She also staged with world renowned Joel Robuchon before returning to Vancouver to work alongside the acclaimed, award-winning chef team of Alex Chen and Roger Ma at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar.

Coffee and tea will also be served.
