One person is dead following a single-vehicle collision in Surrey early Thursday morning.
Surrey RCMP responded to a report a single-vehicle collision on Highway 99 north of King George Boulevard around 1:30am on July 11th.
Responding officers found a woman in her early 20’s who had been ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, and another passenger, a 22-year-old man, were found trapped inside the vehicle. Both were transported to hospital.
Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team has taken conduct of the investigation and is being assisted by the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service.
“Preliminary investigation indicates speed may have been a factor,” said Sgt. James Mason in a release.
The northbound lanes on Highway 99 north of King George Boulevard remain closed as of 6am to allow investigators to gather evidence.
