A 66-year-old man is dead after a crash in Surrey Thursday.
Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian shortly after 5pm yesterday on 176 Street and 26 Avenue in South Surrey.
First responders located “one male deceased” at the scene. Investigators believe the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was driving southbound on 176th Street in the area of 26th Avenue.
“The suspect vehicle did not remain on scene,” said Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha.
To help with the investigation, police are seeking witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage from the area between 4:50pm and 5:20pm. Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-166007.
