Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle in Surrey

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Surrey over the weekend.

Police received a report of a vehicle collision in the 7600 block of 128th Street involving a pedestrian around 2:45pm Sunday afternoon.

Despite lifesaving efforts, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.



“The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is currently on scene and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called out,” said Sgt. Ivan Lee at the time. “The investigation is in the early stages and investigators are working to identify all factors that led to this fatality.”

128th Street was closed both northbound and southbound between 76 Avenue and 76A Avenue for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
