Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened in Surrey Saturday morning.
Before 2am this morning, Surrey RCMP received a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the 13400 block of 105th Avenue.
Police located the pedestrian “several blocks away suffering from severe injuries”. Despite efforts from first responders, the pedestrian was declared deceased at scene.

“Witnesses described seeing a red Ford Mustang strike a pedestrian and leave the scene without stopping to render assistance,” said police in a release. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and its three occupants were taken into custody.
“Alcohol and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors in this collision. The incident is still in the early investigative stages and police expect road closures in the area of 13400 105th Avenue throughout the night and into the day,” said police.
