Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Maple Ridge last week.
The tragic incident occurred in the 22300 block of River Road in Maple Ridge around 2pm on Friday, February 27th.
“Officers attended and confirmed that a male pedestrian was struck by a train in this area,” said Ridge Meadows RCMP in a release. “The male was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency services.”
Ridge Meadows RCMP is working alongside the CPKC Police Service as the investigation continues, and no further details are being released at this time.
