Pedestrian killed in Langley hit-and-run Saturday morning

Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed that life of a pedestrian in Langley Saturday morning.



Langley RCMP responded to a person in distress on Fraser Highway between 232 Street and 240 Street around 4:40am this morning.

Officers arrived in the area and located a pedestrian who had suffered injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” reads a release. “Both the driver and the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.”

Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene.



“First responders immediately began life-saving efforts, tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has deployed to the area to assist Langley RCMP with this investigation.”
