A pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries following a hit-and-run in North Vancouver Wednesday night.
North Vancouver RCMP say they received reports about a pedestrian that appeared to have been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Marine Drive and Capilano Road just before 9:30pm.

When they arrived, police found a a man in his late 40’s from North Vancouver laying on the roadway with serious injuries.
The suspect had fled the scene, leaving behind “vehicle debris”.
“The investigation is in its earliest stages and it’s very important that we continue our efforts to gather all available evidence,” said Cst. Mansoor Sahak of the North Vancouver RCMP. “We are looking for witnesses or drivers who were in the area of Marine Drive and Capilano Road at around 9:20 p.m. last night.”
