A pedestrian was struck by a train in Port Moody earlier this weekend.
At around 10am Saturday morning, first responders were called to the train tracks near Klahanie Drive and Murray Street for a report of a man who had been struck by a reversing train while walking along the railway.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, suffered “what appear to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries”. He was transported to hospital by paramedics.

“It is believed this incident was accidental in nature,” said Cst. Sam Zacharias of the Port Moody Police Department.
CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd.) police have now taken over the investigation.
