Police respond to “possible drowning” at Sasamat Lake in Port Moody

Port Moody Police responded to a “possible drowning” at Sasamat Lake Saturday afternoon.

Police provided the update at 4:31pm and said that the “lake has been evacuated for BC Air Ambulance”.

“Please avoid the area,” tweeted out police.

Just before 7:30pm, police provided an update and said that an unresponsive 14 -year-old male was found in the lake around 4pm.

The young male was was air lifted to hospital & remains in critical condition.
