Police are searching for a missing man after his car was left abandoned on the Alex Fraser Bridge earlier this week.
The driver of the car is believed to be a 46-year-old Surrey man by the name of Avtar. His vehicle was abandoned in one of the southbound lanes of the Alex Fraser Bridge at 6:20pm on December 4th.
“While driving conditions at the time included fog, with rush hour traffic volume, police believe there are witnesses to the vehicle abandonment,” said Delta Police in a release.
Avtar was last seen at his family’s residence earlier that afternoon.
Avtar is described as:
- 5’11” tall
- 230 lbs.
- Short black hair
- Short black beard
- Black rimmed glasses
He was possibly wearing a black toque, a black winter jacket withouta hood, and pajama pants. He also has a tattoo on the back of his right hand.

The abandoned vehicle is described as a grey 2023 Volkswagen Taos.
