Driver gets Porsche impounded for doing nearly twice the speed limit in Delta

In News by Anywhere Vancouver

Police in Delta recently pulled over a driver for going nearly double the speed limit.

The Delta Police Department’s Traffic Unit stopped the driver of a Porsche that was going 152 km/h in a 80 km/h zone. The driver was fined $483 for excessive speeding and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The driver also received three penalty points and possibly a “licence review”.

“152/80 isn’t blood pressure. It’s speed. But when this driver passed an unmarked police car doing 152 kmh in an 80 kmh zone, we suspect his blood pressure may have spiked,” posted the Delta Police Department on X.

“Rest assured, Tsawwassen will be a little slower and quieter for the next 7 days.”
