Prince Harry, Meghan Markle in attendance for Canucks game in Vancouver tonight

Fans in attendance for the Canucks game against the San Jose Sharks in Vancouver Monday night got a royal surprise. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were both in attendance for tonight’s game at Rogers Arena.

Prince Harry performed the ceremonial puck drop before the game between Sharks forward Tomas Hertl and Canucks captain Quinn Hughes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both received cheers from the home crowd as they were shown on the video board.

Prince Harry is the founder and patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, who was inspired to help wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women following his deployment in Afghanistan. The 2025 Invictus Games are being hosted by Vancouver and Whistler from February 8 to 16.

The Invictus Games will bring together over 500 competitors from 25 nations to compete in adaptive sports, including the new winter sports: alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, skeleton, and wheelchair curling, in addition to the core sports of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
