Fire crews were at Science World Monday morning after they received reports of smoke coming from the exterior of the building.
Vancouver firefighters tackled the fire with both a fire truck and a boat in False Creek. The fire and smoke appears to have been coming from a water line under Science World.

Crews needed a boat to access the fire under the walkway.
Science World was forced to close Monday due to the fire.
“Science World is closed today, March 11, due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes,” posted the popular attraction on X.
No injuries were reported.
