UPDATE: The highway has reopened fully in both directions
Original story:
A collision involving “multiple vehicles” Wednesday morning has closed the Sea to Sky Highway in both directions.
RCMP say the collision occurred on Highway 99 north of Brandywine Falls between Callaghan Valley Road and Brew Creek Road just before 9am this morning.
“The current weather is contributing to poor road conditions, and due to both the road conditions and Highway 99 being closed in both directions, we are advising people not to travel in the area at this time,” said Cpl. Katrina Boehmer, Media Relations Officer with the Sea to Sky RCMP.
