Emergency crews are currently responding to a “marine incident” in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour. Both Vancouver Fire Rescue Services and the Vancouver Police Department have been deployed to the scene.

A float plane collided with a pleasure boat while attempting to take off in Coal Harbour Saturday afternoon. A video from the scene shows the plane sinking into the harbour.

Assistant fire chief Walter Pereira told Anywhere Vancouver that there were four people on the boat at the time of the collision. Two people have been seriously injured, while the other two passengers escaped injury.
Vancouver Fire Rescue Services say no injuries have been reported for those who were on the plane.
