Let it snow. On Friday morning, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Metro Vancouver, stating that parts of the region could see snow this weekend.
The weather agency states that a frontal system will move into the South Coast on Saturday.
“Rain will begin Saturday morning and become mixed with snow Saturday afternoon. Wet snow may reach sea level but, generally, no significant accumulation is expected for most areas,” says Environment Canada.
“Accumulations of 2 to 4 cm are possible over higher elevations of Metro Vancouver, such as the North Shore, Coquitlam, and Burnaby Mountain.”
The snow won’t stick around for long as “strong warming is expected Saturday evening”.
