Surrey alleyway shooting victim identified

Homicide investigators have identified the suspect who was shot and killed in a Surrey alleyway over the weekend.

29-year-old Pavanbar Paul Mannan has been identifed as the man found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a white Ford Edge SUV in an alleyway north of 96 Avenue and 130 Street on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was transported to hospital, but died of his injuries.

Investigators have not provided any details about a possible motive at this time. Police have also not mentioned yet whether or not this was a targeted shooting.

“No suspect description is currently available, and police are looking for any witnesses or those with dash camera footage from the area, to contact police,” says Sgt. Tammy Lobb.
