A small plane crashed in Surrey Monday afternoon, sending one person to hospital.
Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a “small plane crash” near the area of Blackie Spit in the 3100-block of McBride Avenue.

Several first responders responded to the scene and found the injured pilot at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates there was only one person on board.
The pilot sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.
“There was no other damage or injuries reported as a result of this incident,” said Sgt. Tammy Lobb.
Investigators will release more details as they become available.
