You might want to think again before deciding to speed. Two drivers in Surrey learned that the hard way.
Surrey RCMP tweeted out a photo of two street racers in Newton who were caught going 101 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
“Both vehicles were impounded for 7 days and issued violation tickets in the amount of $736/each,” stated police.

Many on Twitter voiced their displeasure.
“7 whole days, not nearly long enough,” said one user.
“7 days is a slap on the wrist, double the fine, 14 days impound, 30 day license suspension and quadruple the insurance premiums,” said another.
“Suspend their drivers license for a year,” chimed in another Twitter user.
