A massive 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan Wednesday morning just before 8am during rush hour.
The East Asia country was hit with their strongest earthquake in 25 years. Local roads and buildings sustained considerable damage and casualties have been reported.
Taiwan’s national fire agency said four people died in Hualien County, which is approximately 285 km away from the capital city of Taipei. Taiwan’s government says at least 711 people were injured.
Train service was suspended across the island, but is slowly resuming in some areas.

Passengers stranded on trains are walking on the tracks as evacuation orders remain place. Taiwan’s military has arrived in Hualien to help with relief efforts.
