A shooting in Surrey early Wednesday morning sent one man to hospital.
Surrey RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots heard in the 12700 block of 66 Avenue just before 12:30pm on July 10th.
“While Frontline members were conducting the initial investigation on scene and patrolling the area, Surrey Memorial Hospital called Surrey RCMP to report a male attended the hospital and disclosed that he was shot,” said police in a statement.
Officers spoke with the victim and found evidence “consistent with a shooting” in the driveway of a residence and on a vehicle.
“Police believe this was a targeted incident as the victim is also known to police,” said Cpl. Sarbjit K Sangha. “The victim has been uncooperative with investigators and sustained very minor injuries.”
Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-100183.
