One person has been transported to hospital with a “non life-threatening gunshot wound” following a “targeted” shooting in Surrey’s Guildford neighbourhood Wednesday evening.
At approximately 5:50pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 15800 block of 80th avenue.

Investigators believe that a “group of males shot at another group of males”. The victim fled the scene in a vehicle and was found in the 14800 block of Fraser Highway.
“Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information,” says Sgt. Tyner Gillies.
The victim is “well-known to police”, and is believed to be involved in the drug trade.
Police believe that this was a targeted shooting and the two groups know each other.
