PNE / Playland
About: The PNE Fair returns this August, and they have a number of new exhibits and attractions you won’t want to miss out on! The 2026 PNE Fair features new exhibits and attractions as well as many of your favourite returning activities, including SuperDogs, The Flying Fools High Dive Show, and of course, Playland rides.

About: The Richmond Sunflower Festival is back with over 20 sunflower varieties spread throughout several acres of farmland. Located at Richmond Country Farms, just East of highway 99, guests can see flowers that range from towering giants to ornamental favourites.
Visitors can take their time strolling through expansive walking paths designed for easy exploration and take advantage of charming photo spots throughout the fields. Weekends feature live performances from local musicians, and their popular wagon rides are also back and run daily.

About: To end off summer on a high note, Dragon Boat BC is hosting a free one-day Dragon Boat Regatta on Saturday, August 22nd. this is your chance to catch Vancouver’s top dragon boat teams racing on home waters one last time before they head to Taiwan the following week to compete at the 2026 Club Crew World Championships.
Enjoy a full day of local music and cultural performances, including globally acclaimed EDM artist Hoang, plus Indigenous and Chinatown showcases, artisan vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.

About: Summer calls for outdoor street parties and one of Metro Vancouver’s biggest celebrations returns this July. Fridays on Front, a series of weekly block parties located on Front Street Mews in Downtown New Westminster, is back starting Friday, July 10th.
The festivities include live music, local food, drinks by Steel+Oak, community vendors, and themed experiences throughout the summer!

Greendale Acres
About: The Fraser Valley farm opens for the season on Wednesday, July 29, debuting its brand-new GOT CORN? Corn Maze. Included with farm admission, this playful attraction celebrates one of the farm’s signature crops and the season that has become synonymous with Greendale Acres.
The Chilliwack Corn Festival returns over two weekends (Aug. 1–3 & 8–9) with fresh-roasted corn, live music, family activities, and crowd-favourite corn-eating and corn-shucking contests. Beyond the Chilliwack Corn Festival, visitors can enjoy live concerts, u-pick flowers, train rides, family events, and seasonal workshops all summer long.
