Police are investigating an incident of “possible candy tampering” after a trick-or-treater in Delta made a rather disturbing discovery over the weekend.
A concerned parent reached out to police on Sunday, November 2nd after their child opened a chocolate bar and “found a sewing needle protruding from one end”.
The family said they had been trick-or-treating in the area of 75th Avenue and 113th Street to 118th Street and 74B Avenue.

The child was fortunately not injured.
“Delta Police are reminding parents to check their children’s candy for anything suspicious and ensure it is safe to eat before giving it to them,”reads a release from the department.
