The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called to Maple Ridge over the weekend after a woman died.
Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to reports of an unidentified female who was bleeding in the area of 232 Street and 132 Avenue around 2:30pm on July 21st.
Responding officers discovered the woman had sustained “serious injuries”.
Despite lifesaving measures from BC Emergency Health Services and the Maple Ridge Fire Department, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There is no information to suggest there are threats to public safety at this time,” said police in a release.
