March is Distracted Driving Month, and a Vancouver driver was recently pulled over for clearly not knowing the rules of operating a vehicle safely and responsibly.
The VPD’s Traffic Section posted a picture on X of a driver that was caught watching video while operating a motor vehicle. The driver was watching a video on their tablet with both earphones as it rested against the gearshift.

“Next level Distracted Driving,” added the VPD’s Traffic Section.
Every ticket for distracted driving in BC includes a fine of $368 and four driver penalty points. Drivers who have four or more points on their driving record at the end of a 12-month period must pay a driver penalty point (DPP) premium.
Put your phone away and focus on the road to ensure everyone remains safe.
