Search continues for Vancouver hiker missing in Lions Bay

The search continues for a Vancouver hiker who went missing in Lions Bay.

Lions Bay Search and Rescue (LBSAR) shared a post and say Squamish RCMP are looking for Michael Tu, a 29-year-old Asian male from Vancouver.

Police believe he made it to the top of Mount Harvey in the Lions Bay Area just before 11am. Squamish RCMP say that he left his black four-door Honda Civic in a parking lot near Lions Bay School. His car still remains there.

Michael is described as:

  • Asian male
  • 29-years-old
  • Fair complexion
  • Short black hair
  • Brown eyes
  • 172 cm tall
  • Weighs 55 kg
  • Slim build

Michael was last seen wearing a red North Face jacket, grey and green pants and a black backpack.
