The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted Canada-wide for multiple firearms offences.
The investigation into 38-year-old Penh “Chad” You started back in April 2023 after he “threatened a woman with a firearm during a verbal dispute”.
“He allegedly made several other threatening statements during the incident,” says the VPD in a release.

Police subsequently seized 11 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition while executing search warrants at multiple residences linked to You.
On March 21st, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved the following six charges against You:
- Possess firearm without a license
- Contravene regulation of Firearms Act
- Possession of unauthorized firearm
- Possession at unauthorized place
- Prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Fail to report lost or stolen firearm
You is 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has a medium build. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
