The BC Wildfire Service has been called in to support West Vancouver Fire and Rescue.
“The fire is currently estimated at three hectares in size and is highly visible to the public from many vantage points surrounding Horseshoe Bay,” says the BC Wildfire Service.
“There have been many reports of smoke in the area visible through West Vancouver.”
The fire is currently classified as out of control and “not responding to suppression efforts”.
