On Canada Day, a man in a wheelchair was assaulted and robbed in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Police say the victim was “struck in the head with a tire iron” and had his backpack stolen near E.Cordova and Princess Ave.
The male victim was able to flag down police, who arrested the suspect.

26-year-old Tristan Schultz, who is not known to the victim, has been charged with robbery.
