Canada Day is quickly approaching and a number of celebrations are planned across Metro Vancouver. A number of communities have extravagant fireworks in store with fun activities taking place throughout the day.
Even though there will be no fireworks in downtown Vancouver this year, we’ve put together a list of places you can see fireworks in celebration of our beautiful country.
Canada Day fireworks across Metro Vancouver
About: Western Canada’s largest Canada Day event is returning to Surrey this July 1st. This free, family-friendly event includes a diverse lineup of performers, live entertainment, amusement rides, food trucks, and to cap off the day, a dazzling fireworks display at 10:15pm.

About: Taking place on Canada Day this July, the festival will include the return of the popular Canada Day parade! The event attracts about 80,000 every year right in the heart of Steveston. One of the highlights of the festival is of course the salmon bake. Over 1,200 pounds of salmon get grilled over large fire pits. The event is capped off with a fireworks display at Imperial Landing at 10:15pm

Burnaby Canada Day celebrations
About: There is fun for everyone including a family zone with kids’ entertainment and activities at Civic Square, activities for all ages along Central Boulevard, along with food, music, dance, artists and free live performances in Central Park. The event starts at 6:30 pm and ends with fireworks finale in Central Park at 10:15 pm.
