Another storm system is set to arrive in Metro Vancouver Tuesday, and it will pummel the region with strong winds and heavy rain.
Just before 10pm Monday night, Environment Canada issued a wind warning for Richmond, Delta, Surrey and Langley.
“A vigorous Pacific frontal system will move over the B.C. coast Tuesday night into Wednesday,” says the weather agency
Winds are expected to gust up to 100 km/h before easing Wednesday morning.
“Blustery southeasterly winds of 70 km/h with gusts 90 to 100 km/h will develop Tuesday evening over areas near the Strait of Georgia, Haro Strait and Boundary bay.”
The wind warning is also in effect for Greater Victoria, Southern Gulf Islands, East Vancouver Island, and the Sunshine Coast.

In addition to the wind warning, a rainfall warning has been issued for section of Metro Vancouver, including Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows.
“On Wednesday, the heavy rain will change to moderate showers with the frontal passage and ease to a few light showers Wednesday evening. Total rainfall amounts near 50 to 90 mm can be expected with locally higher amounts possible over the North Shore mountains.”
Ahead of the storm’s arrival, people are being warned to be ready for power outages, travel disruptions, and localized flooding.
