The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was deployed to a Chilliwack home Wednesday afternoon after a woman was found dead inside.
Chilliwack RCMP responded to a 911 call from a residence in the 46600-block of Teton Avenue in Chilliwack yesterday afternoon at 1pm.

Responding officers found a 66-year old female who has been killed and a 37-year old man suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested a 68-year old man at the residence and took him into custody.
“Initial evidence indicates this was an isolated incident between three family members, with no ongoing risk to the public,” said Sgt. Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.
Investigators are not releasing the name of the victim at this time out of respect for the family’s privacy.
