The police are looking for multiple suspects after a woman was stabbed in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood over the weekend.

Police responded to report of an assault in the 10200 block of University Drive at 12:30am on October 6th. It was discovered that a good Samaritan had “transported a female victim to the hospital” with serious injuries “consistent with a stabbing”.

Investigators believe multiple suspects may have been involved in the incident.

“The victim is recovering from her injuries and investigators are canvassing the area for CCTV footage to identify the suspects as they work to determine the motive,” reads a release from police.

Police say there were people in the area when the assault took place and are asking them to come forward.

“This is a very concerning incident in our community as it appears random in nature and we are asking anyone who witnessed this incident to call police immediately”, says Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha.

Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 24-149155.
