The latest snowstorm to hit Metro Vancouver has created dangerous road conditions, leading to spun out vehicles and delays.
When snow hits the region, local bridges can become a nightmare for motorists.
A video shared on Twitter by the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure Wednesday morning shows how workers remove snow and ice from the Alex Fraser Bridge.

Rope Access Technicians (also known as RATS) have to manually release collars to remove ice and snow from the bridge’s cables.
The video shared shows a worker suspended above the cables, releasing the collars down to the bridge deck.
“Okay, this is officially the “coolest” video out there right now about the snowmaggedon,” commented one Twitter user.
With freezing temperatures in store overnight and more snow in the forecast tomorrow, there’s a good chance workers will be back atop the Alex Fraser Bridge.
