According to many reports, almost 3,000 people are dead following a magnitude 6.8 earthquake that hit the Atlas Mountains (71km from Marrakesh). Rescue crews continue to look for survivors amongst the rubble. Some of the worst-hit areas are remote villages that aren’t easily accessible.

Search and rescue teams from across the world continue to arrive in Morocco to help local authorities. If you would like to donate to Islamic Relief Canada’s Morroco earthquake relief fund, click here.
