Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect after an elderly woman was assaulted in Richmond.
Richmond RCMP say an 88-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a female stranger inside of a business in the 9200 block of Alderbridge Way.
The victim was inside of a business when she was reportedly “approached and struck in the head”.

“The victim was struck hard enough that she fell onto the floor but fortunately, she did not sustain any physical injuries,” says Cpl. Adriana O’Malley, Richmond RCMP Media Relations Officer. “We believe there are people who will recognize this suspect and implore anyone who can identify her to call us.”
No motive has been determined at this time.
